You will be joining the FN Enterprise Team that is hosted in BBN (Broadband Networks BU). This Enterprise Team has strong focus on developing the Enterprise Market with an Optical LAN solution: responsibilities include Go-To-Market Strategy Definition, Segment Business Development, Partner Engagement, Portfolio Management, and End-to-End Solution Definition and Validation.

The importance of Indirect Sales through Partners has grown significantly over the past years. That's why the Fixed Networks BU invests in the creation of a new Segment Success Engineer (SSE) function for Optical LAN, part of the FN Enterprise Team.

The newly created SSE function has strong focus on segment-centric business development, specifically for the following Enterprise market segments that we identified as key for our Optical LAN business going forward:

  • Real Estate and MDU
  • Hospitality sector
  • Education (including university campuses)
  • Health sector

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

As a Segment Success Engineer, you will be responsible for driving growth in the Optical LAN market through indirect sales channels. This includes:

  • Developing business and generating leads within key segments globally
  • Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and regional Business Centers
  • Understanding and formulating segment requirements, working closely with the Business Unit for roadmap, technical support, and collateral development
  • Leading Go-To-Market initiatives, including channel management, roadmap support, collateral development, architecture design, and commercial support for specific segments
  • Engaging in co-marketing events and building relationships with decision-makers within the target segments

This role requires a passionate and experienced individual to drive growth in the Optical LAN market within a specific segment (Hospitality, Education, Health, or Real Estate/MDU)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotion: Actively promote Nokia's Optical LAN solution at industry events and conferences, building visibility and collaborating with partners
  • Business Development: Initiate market-making activities, focusing on stakeholders who influence optical LAN adoption. Develop and leverage channel partner ecosystems to generate leads and drive sales. Identify and propose new partnerships within the segment
  • Technical Advocacy: Provide technical guidance and support to opportunities and projects. Keep partners informed about product knowledge, market differentiators, and best practices. Deliver technical presentations
  • Feedback Loop: Develop and execute a segment business strategy, translating it into specific requirements and qualified pipeline for roadmap, product development, solution blueprints, and go-to-market strategies

Key Skills And Experience

This role requires a highly motivated and experienced individual with a proven track record in Market Development, Business Development, or presales activities

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in Market Development or Business Development within specific Enterprise segments (a clear asset)
  • Experience with indirect business and the Nokia partner ecosystem (a plus)
  • Knowledge of PON technology
  • Strong team player with proven ability to work within a global team
  • Proven Business Acumen, with strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to understand market (segment) requirements, preferably with knowledge of the LAN market and solutions Knowledge of the FN Product/Solution Portfolio (a plus)
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and concise manner
  • Self-driven, proactive, and decisive
