RED SEAL INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Wage: $52.69 per hour
Relocation: Allowance provided
Schedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)
YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician will support the mill’s continuous improvement efforts through construction projects and general preventative maintenance.
Your Responsibilities
ü Troubleshoot and repair process control instrumentation;
ü Regular predictive/preventative maintenance;
ü Servicing of control valves, emission monitors and kraft pulp analyzers;
ü Use computer diagnostics and testing to monitor, measure and troubleshoot processes;
ü Clean and perform routine maintenance work.

ü Self-directed and works with minimal supervision;
ü Ability to manage time and multi-task to accomplish a variety of assignments with conflicting priorities and deadlines;
ü Confident written and oral communicator;
ü Change agent with the ability to collaborate well with others;
ü Strong problem solving & analytical skills;
ü Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands;
ü Detail oriented;
ü Committed to best practices in health, safety and environmental management
ü Work well in team and possess a friendly and positive demeanor.
Your Qualifications
ü BC Journeyperson and/or Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Instrumentation & Control Technician Certification
ü Experience working in a safety sensitive industrial work environment;
ü Strong computer system aptitude and experience working with various types of software including Microsoft Office Suite and a computerized maintenance system (i.e. SAP);
ü Possessing a dual ticket qualification in Electrical and/or HVAC in addition would be an asset.
