Job Description
LuminUltra is hiring a Planning & Order Fulfillment Manager to join our dynamic and growing Operations team in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
This is an excellent opportunity within an innovative and energetic organization. The Planning & Order Fulfillment Manager will be accountable for material supply and demand planning, as well as the full order process - from purchase to order delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to work cross-departmentally with many different teams and oversee the success of the full planning and order fulfillment process. This position offers an annual salary range of $60,000 to $75,000, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong customer-centric focus and be an accountable, detail-oriented, and highly dependable individual who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
In this role, the Planning & Order Fulfillment Manager will have key responsibilities, such as:
Leadership:
- As a member of the Operations Leadership team, evolve and promote corporate purpose, values, strategy, and initiatives.
- Promote excellence and accountability in all relationships between and amongst internal and external organizational stakeholders.
- Actively contribute to Business Excellence & continuous improvement efforts pertaining to Operations.
Management:
- Manage, develop, and align functional team members to corporate and departmental objectives through clear and measurable individual objectives, supported through routine and proactive engagement.
- With the Sr. Director of Operations, be accountable for the creation of and adherence to departmental objectives, priorities, and forecasts on both an annual and a quarterly cadence.
- Regularly track KPIs and metrics to report on order fulfilment performance and supply chain/purchasing performance.
- Inform and lead internal discussion related to open order/product revenue availability.
- Operate within and contribute to the success & compliance of the Quality Management System.
- Contribute to the company’s Quality Management System by driving continuous process improvements that enhance business compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in export compliance and other regulatory processes, as required.
Functional responsibilities:
Material Planning
- Develop planning requirements following evaluation of historical activity, customer trends, and sales forecasts.
- Manage inventory valuation and days forward coverage planning.
- Work closely with Procurement & Distribution plan to manage material purchasing needs, as well as finished goods stocking needs, for all locations.
- Create analysis reports to explain order flow trends, what may happen, and why.
- Provide regular, detailed evaluation of inventory levels and historical materials flow in support of the Sales & Operations planning meeting (S&OP).
- Evaluate current processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
Order Fulfillment
- Lead and develop a team of front-line contributors, serving as the single point of contact for all orders, from purchase order through delivery.
- Schedule, coordinate, and manage logistics services for all internal/external orders being fulfilled from a LuminUltra operated facility.
- Coordinate preparation and provision of transportation and/or carrier documentation in partnership with our distribution partners.
- Address inquiries, resolve challenges, and collaborate across functions to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Maintain strong accountability for order validation, entry, and acceptance in collaboration with Finance and Commercial teams.
- Handle requests related to pricing, promotions, and specific terms, coordinating with supporting functions as required.
- Oversee and manage order acknowledgment, change requests, and shipment date management in coordination with Commercial, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, and Distribution.
- Manage product and shipment returns alongside Customer Experience, and the Commercial team.
- Ensure order fulfillment aligns with pre-approved terms and enables accurate, timely invoices.
- Address special requirements and escalate issues to management for swift resolution.
- Take on other duties as assigned, always striving for operational excellence and customer-centric solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree or diploma in business, logistics, or related field; or equivalent combination of relevant professional experience and education.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Manufacturing and/or Logistics order management and/or planning role.
- Proven experience leading, managing, and developing a team of people.
- High attention to detail, and a team player with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
- High sense of urgency and ability to work as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Canadian and International logistics and import/export documentation, preferred.
- Proven experience with material demand planning and management, preferred.
- Process improvement experience, an asset.
- Proficiency with Oracle Fusion or similar MRP, an asset.
