As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Commercial Risk Broking Group within Aon.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

The salary range for this position is $$75,000 - $105,000. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity.

What The Day Will Look Like

  • Participates in client and prospect meetings
  • Collaborates with clients to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business
  • Collaborates with sales producers to support growth strategies and specific prospecting activities
  • Collaborates to build regional initiatives around Casualty & Propery lines of coverage
  • Provides guidance, training and mentoring to assist in the development of less experienced Brokers within the national group
  • Builds productive working relationships with peers and higher-level professionals internally and externally to exchange information and make recommendations
  • Analyzes client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements
  • Prepares and presents marketing proposals for renewals and new business
  • Negotiates with underwriters to establish the best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage
  • Follows up with insurer to confirm terms of negotiated contract are met
  • Approves documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals
  • Establishes contacts and cultivates relationships within the underwriting community in an effort to achieve the best premiums and coverage for Aon clients
  • Performs other related duties as required

How This Opportunity Is Different

As a Broker with Aon's Commercial Risk team, you will negotiate with Underwriters for the best terms, conditions and competitive pricing for existing and new clients.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • 5+ years property and casualty experience in complex placement
  • Proven knowledge and relationship with/of domestic insurance carriers
  • Broker licenses across Canada required
  • Strong skills in both written and verbal communications to be able to make an impact and influence with the client and the insurance company
