What You'll Be Doing
- Act as the key liaison between lenders, borrowers, and internal teams to support commercial lending transactions.
- Review instructions from lenders and coordinate with borrowers to gather required information.
- Conduct and analyze due diligence searches, including PPSA and corporate records.
- Draft, revise, and manage standard and customized security documents.
- Oversee the full document execution process and ensure compliance and completeness.
- Collaborate with accounting and legal teams to coordinate disbursement of funds.
- File and track security registrations and prepare post-closing reports.
- Deliver polished final reporting letters and closing packages.
- Maintain impeccable document and file management throughout.
- A Paralegal diploma or certificate from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial lending within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong understanding of the Personal Property Security Act and relevant filing procedures.
- A sharp eye for detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Professional, clear communication-both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
