About the role:

Under the supervision of the VP of Production, the Director of Production & Projects ensures the overall supervision of ongoing projects, from planning to delivery, guaranteeing operational efficiency, optimal resource management, and client satisfaction.

They act as both a strategist, manager, and production representative to all stakeholders and ensure performance, efficiency, and operational compliance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Proactively ensure collaboration between internal teams (sales, marketing, operations, products, HR, Finance, IT) at each stage of the project, from sale to delivery.
  • Diligently manage and plan the production budget, track, and provide executive-level reporting.
  • Ensure the planning, optimization, and performance of production teams assigned to projects.
  • Manage the pool of freelancers equitably by implementing policies compliant with HR, immigration, and Finance standards.
  • Work with sales and finance to define projected budgets and ensure their adherence throughout the delivery cycle.
  • Assign the optimal assignment of project managers and production team members according to the specific needs of each mandate.
  • Manage production budgets, in collaboration with project managers, and ensure rigorous tracking of expenses.
  • Supervise the production pipeline and ensure project delivery within the established deadlines and quality standards.
  • Evaluate the human and material resource needs for each project and ensure their availability.
  • Work closely with the Technical Production Director to optimize the allocation, management, and succession of resources.
  • Establish and manage communication plans in crisis or incident situations, in coordination with clients and internal teams.
  • Contribute to the evolution of service models by integrating best practices in project management and performance.
  • Participate in the strategic planning of production operations in the short, medium, and long term.

Desired Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in an administrative field or other relevant field.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in project management or production, ideally in an event, audiovisual, or creative context.
  • Strong skills in budget management, planning, and team leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and priority management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively, particularly in crisis situations and/or with urgency and speed of execution.
  • Bilingualism (French and English).
  • The person must be able to communicate in English (written and oral) since we have employees outside Quebec.
