The Role

Reporting directly to the President of Northland Restaurant Group, the Chop Brand President and Chief Operating Officer provides the vision, strategic impetus, and organizational excellence for expanding the Chop Steakhouse & Bar concept, as well as Chop’s brand strategies, operating plans, and standards, and takes the lead in their execution.

The Brand President will be accountable for key financial and performance measures for the business, including sales, same-restaurant sales, store operating profit, EBITDA, guest experience scores, training, quality assurance, and team engagement. They will also be accountable for achieving new store growth targets and leading and building the team.

Background Experience and Skills:

  • Post-secondary degree (Business or Hospitality ideal)
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of multi-unit leadership management experience with solid P&L track record and success running corporate restaurants (preferably in the premium casual space)
  • Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations principles, ability to understand changing market dynamics, translate them into actionable strategy, and implement the strategy to achieve corporate objectives through a comprehensive operational plan
  • Impactful oral and written communication required for interactions at all levels in the organization, from the senior leadership team to Hourly Associates
  • Proficiency with business software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
