Job Description
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and team-oriented individual possessing a strong work ethic, who will serve as liaison between warehouse operations, replenishment and purchasing teams to address inventory-related challenges.

Kent is the largest retail building supply chain in Atlantic Canada. With 48 locations and an ecommerce website, our mission is to be the best source of home improvement products through superior customer service and know-how, quality products, and everyday great prices. We protect our customers and staff by hiring and training associates committed to our safety values. We employ over 3,700 people and work hard to increase our market share through strategic investment in training and technology. In addition to our retail stores, we operate truss manufacturing facilities and a wholesale drywall company. We are a member of Independent Lumber Dealers Co-operative and the ARENA buying group which ensures our great product selection and pricing
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and team-oriented individual possessing a strong work ethic, who will serve as liaison between warehouse operations, replenishment and purchasing teams to address inventory-related challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support initiatives to improve overall warehouse operation and effective warehousing.
- Supporting MOC operations in driving business improvement.
- Maintain, monitor, and update inventory databases using inventory control software (D365), ensuring real-time accuracy and traceability of stock movement.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances, including misplaced, damaged, or missing stock, and report findings to the relevant departments.
- Proactively identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies in inventory management workflows and suggest innovative solutions.
- Serve as a liaison between warehouse operations, Replenishment and Purchasing teams to address inventory-related challenges.
- Safety Compliance - Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents and participate in safety training and drills.
- Utilize advanced analytics tools to transform raw data into actionable insights that optimize stock levels and predict trends.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements—drawing from lean principles and cross-departmental collaboration to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
- Good communication
- Well-organized with proven ability to manage deadlines and priorities
- Great attention to detail with strong cognitive skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point
- Proficiency in inventory management systems
- Strong understanding of data entry, inventory tracking methods, and basic financial principles related to inventory valuation.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to inventory inaccuracies.
- Green or Yellow Belt certification is an asset
