Reporting to the Project Manager, the Document Controller role focuses on supporting document control processes, ensuring accurate organization and tracking of project documentation. The Document Controller will assist in the distribution of documents, maintain filing systems, and help ensure compliance with project standards.
This position based out of Port Hope, ON.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Document Controller role focuses on supporting document control processes, ensuring accurate organization and tracking of project documentation. The Document Controller will assist in the distribution of documents, maintain filing systems, and help ensure compliance with project standards.
This position based out of Port Hope, ON.
What You'll Be Working On
- Develop and implement Document Management framework to ensure compliance with the Governance system framework.
- Develop, implement and assess implementation of Document Management procedures and processes.
- Ensure Project documentation is received, tracked and monitored according to Document Management Plan.
- Perform Quality and Compliance checks on documentation.
- Collaborate in system improvements and rollouts.
- Provide support and training to Project team on document management.
- Undertake audits to ensure document management processes are well implemented and ensure data integrity.
- Undertake reporting as required.
- Onboard Project team and subcontractor to document management system.
- Ensure Client and other stakeholders are onboarded to the document management system and supported through the lifecycle of the project.
- 2-5 years of document management experience and education in a related field.
- Good understanding of Engineering and Construction activities with respect to document management would be an asset.
- Experience in all areas of document management including: issue, creation, retrieval, retention and turnover.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Creation of Document Management Plans and Process Maps.
- Superior knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Manage multiple Subcontractor/Vendors deliverables within the EDMS.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships in a team environment.
