About Our Opportunity
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our dynamic team, which is focused on driving system change through innovative projects. The Business Analyst, Business Innovation and Solutions, will be a key member of the team, reporting directly to the Manager. In this role, you will be instrumental in the department's key projects and initiatives, leveraging your expertise in process and technical business analysis to support business transformation. This position involves collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, playing a crucial role in our efforts to modernize systems and processes.
Primary Accountabilities
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Gaining a deep understanding of the department’s user needs and requirements, both current and future, for existing and new services, solutions and systems.
- Conducting thorough business analysis, eliciting and documenting requirements, leading workshops, providing strategic advice, and making detailed recommendations for process and system improvements.
- Assisting with the implementation and promoting ongoing improvement and innovation in the department's business processes and operations.
- Preparing project deliverables and communications, such as process maps, procedures documents, options analyses and project evaluations.
- Acting as a problem solver, identifying and addressing issues, and providing effective solutions to enhance business processes and systems.
- Communicating changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to the project team and/or staff (users).
- Managing day-to-day relationships with clients, contract service providers, and team members to deliver on established outcomes.

As Our Next Business Analyst, You Will Have a University Degree From a Recognized School In Business Or Computer Science Plus Five (5) Years Related Experience. You Will Also Have
- Experience leading cross-functional workshops that drive alignment with a focus on using technology to improve services or programs
- Time management skills including the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and rapidly changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to translate and integrate business, technical, client and staff needs into clear deliverables for decision-making and project implementation
- Experience developing business process diagrams, options analyses, and other relevant analyses.
- Expertise in defining and tracking project outcomes and performance measures to ensure that objectives are met and success is quantifiable, while taking ownership of tasks to drive progress and accountability.
- Demonstrated proficiency in tracking requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including associated risks, issues, actions, and lessons learned.
- Certification or training in business analysis
- Exposure to Service Design skills such as an understanding of the end-to-end services including service operations
- Experience in human-centered design
- Working with agile digital focused teams
- Experience with case management systems, software development lifecycle, and IT release management process

- A related master’s degree and three (3) years of related experience

Working Conditions
This role is primarily based in a comfortable office environment and you may be working at your computer for extended periods of time. You may be required to travel within the province to visit sites or regional offices.

Salary Range: $2,556.10 - $3,107.16 Bi-Weekly
