SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Supervisor, Supply Chain.
About Your New Role
Reporting to the Superintendent, Supply Chain, the Supervisor, Supply Chain will be responsible for implementing the company’s warehousing and inventory management policies and procedures, guiding a team of warehouse operatives and end users to execute processes that support sustainable availability of parts and materials for site operations. The incumbent will ensure sufficient stock of necessary parts, appropriate management of on-hand inventory, optimization of storage spaces and conditions and execution of the warehouse management systems to assure control and accuracy of ERP records. They will liaise with operatives in procurement, inventory and logistics divisions to drive a seamless flow of required goods and services through the company’s supply chain for Seabee Gold Operations.
Your Key Responsibilities
This position has a schedule of one (1) week on, one (1) week off at our remote camp in northern Saskatchewan, working 12-hour days with the possibility of unscheduled overtime required on occasion. You will be required to fly in fly out of the site on designated days from a pick-up point in either Saskatoon, Prince Albert or La Ronge.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Promote and monitor safe work practices for all related work activities including providing training and developing work instructions and procedures.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain inventory classifications, commodity codes, Min/Max levels, part naming convention, inventory locations, inventory issuing process, monitoring of inactive and obsolete stock, cycle counting process, unit of measures, equipment bill of materials, critical spares, vendor consigned inventory, free stock, and material standardization.
- Supervise a team of personnel to perform warehouse operational tasks safely and accurately.
- Schedule and perform stock cycle counts as per company procedures; perform operations to investigate and adjust variances and ensure inventory records are kept accurate.
- Own the MRP process within the company ERP system for continued availability of stock parts.
- Responsible to monitor, report and improve company metrics related to warehouse operations.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies that ensure inventory control.
- Comply with the safety and environmental policies and procedures for the storage and handling of dangerous good.
- Communicate regularly with customer departments on critical data and activities related to the warehouse and the availability of parts for operations.
- Participate in the demand planning process for the items delivered on the company’s winter ice road providing historical consumption data for alignment on stocking quantities.
- Drive the annual winter road project from planning, preparation, execution and lessons learned.
- Maintain warehouse facilities in conformance with company and mine regulation requirements.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Provide coverage for warehouse staff.
- Microsoft Word and Excel, and other computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Handle multiple priorities.
- Work independently and within a team environment.
- Advanced knowledge of the SAP ERP system MM and PM modules.
- Excellent leadership abilities.
- Fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with the utmost professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality is essential.
- Degree or Diploma in business, supply chain, warehouse management, Parts Technician Red Seal Certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in a warehouse function in an industrial or manufacturing setting and possess the following education/certification requirements:
- WHMIS
- Dangerous Goods
- Warehouse/Parts Management
- Relevant courses from a post-secondary institution.
