Your Opportunity
You are a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a background in public accounting and a solid grasp of IFRS standards and financial reporting requirements. You thrive on deadlines and are motivated by making sense of complex data and solving problems. Whether you are diving into reconciliations, preparing reports, or assessing internal controls, you can bring a critical and strategic mindset to everything you do.
Reporting to the Controller, you are a key player on the Accounting & Finance team, working closely with cross-functional colleagues. You are responsible for preparing various journal entries and transactional data, analyzing accounting transactions in line with IFRS standards. You will work closely with the respective stakeholders to investigate and resolve discrepancies, assist in the preparation of financial reports for multiple entities in different tax jurisdictions, and help establish and maintain internal control procedures.

Reporting to the Controller, you are a key player on the Accounting & Finance team, working closely with cross-functional colleagues. You are responsible for preparing various journal entries and transactional data, analyzing accounting transactions in line with IFRS standards. You will work closely with the respective stakeholders to investigate and resolve discrepancies, assist in the preparation of financial reports for multiple entities in different tax jurisdictions, and help establish and maintain internal control procedures.
Your Responsibilities
- Preparing recurring and one-time journal entries (accruals, prepaids, and everything in between).
- Analyzing accounting transactions to ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and digging into discrepancies until they’re resolved.
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports for multiple entities and tax jurisdictions.
- Helping to establish and refine internal control procedures.
- Bringing a critical lens to our processes and recommending improvements.
- Collaborating across teams to provide timely, accurate financial insights.
- Taking on ad-hoc financial analyses that help the business make informed decisions.
Required (Need To Have)
- CPA designation (or I’m actively working toward it)
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a public accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and public reporting requirements
- The ability to keep calm under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort navigating complex workbooks
- A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn
- A collaborative spirit and clear, confident communication style
- Public accounting firm experience
- Oil and Gas service industry knowledge
