We’re looking for an experienced Press Operator for our Forms department who will be responsible for accurately printing business forms and other products to high quality standards. This individual will be setting up a 6 to 8 colour press with U.V. driers using various inks and substrates and running at maximum speed, while generating minimal waste. This position will rotate between days (7am-3pm), afternoons (3pm-11pm) and nights (11pm-7am) every 2 weeks.

Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret order requirements on the production docket and set up press as required, ensuring to follow docket instructions.
- Mount and register plates, perfs, slitters, hole punches, numbering and designation units, ink offset units, die units and re-registration unit. Determine color sequence, fill ink trays and/or pumps, monitor and maintain viscosity of inks.
- Run the press to the maximum speed possible as determined by the job complexity and quality expectations on roll to roll, fanfold, sheeted products.
- Troubleshoot problems such as poor registration, quality, ink and solutions, roller settings and wear, plate problems and minor mechanical break downs.
- Provide training to junior pressmen or those moving to the next level, specifically 4 over 4 colour process, U.V. inks and systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Completion of Secondary School (Grade 12) diploma or equivalent certificate
- Proven experience and product knowledge in Lithographic print products and presses. Experience in roll-to-roll printing and operation of roll to roll procedures is an asset.
- Experience running Sanden, Taiyo and Goebel presses an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Basic mathematic skills
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs
