- Create and build strong relationships with employees through communications and performance feedback.
- Assist with payroll processing for both hourly and salaried employees.
- Participate in training initiatives, including updating the Training Matrix, identifying training gaps, and scheduling and tracking training hours.
- Coordinate recruitment searches through approved processes, prescreen candidates, schedule interviews, participate in interviews, develop appropriate questions/testing, maintain applicant tracking system, and summarize interview ratings and recruitment summary reports.
- Guide managers/supervisors through the recruitment process as required.
- Create and maintain job descriptions for all hourly and salaried positions.
- Attend weekly manning/training meetings and liaise with supervisors to identify staffing and training needs.
- Coordinate temporary staffing needs with staffing agencies and review/submit hours worked for temporary employees.
- Oversee the performance management process.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of various reports, lists, records, and documentation (e.g., monthly head counts, employee reports, agency head counts, and KPIs).
- Create, maintain, organize, and file relevant HR documents.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives.
- Work in compliance with JEC Plant 1’s Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949 / ISO 14001.
- Perform other HR initiatives and projects as assigned.
- Four-year degree, preferably in Human Resources or equivalent education/experience.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) is an asset.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant Human Resources, recruitment, and payroll experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced and changing environment preferred.
- Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and responsiveness to customer needs.
- Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
