Here's how a(n) Nuclear Quality Manager for our Edmonton office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all nuclear quality activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and support to procurement staff, engineering teams, consultants, and suppliers.
• Identify, resolve, and prevent quality issues across departments.
• Monitor and enhance quality performance to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all quality program manuals, procedures, and forms.
• Develop and deliver training to staff on quality policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing and implementing corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Help develop and implement project-specific procedures and work instructions.
• Coach, mentor, and manage direct reports to ensure productivity and engagement.
• Prioritize tasks and provide leadership to team members.
• Act as the primary customer quality contact.
• Collaborate across departments to foster a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quality initiatives seamlessly.
• Act independently with limited supervision.
  
  

Qualifications

• 10+ years of supervisory and leadership experience in quality assurance/quality control and/or the heavy industrial construction industry preferred.
• Strong background in nuclear quality assurance and knowledge of nuclear codes and standards.
• Experience in nuclear and non-nuclear fabrication/construction industries is an asset.
• Relevant education and certifications in quality or nuclear fields.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership abilities and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing regulations and environments.
• Strategic, results-oriented thinker capable of managing complex, confidential issues.
• Ability to work well under pressure and drive high-performance teams.
• High ethical standards and professionalism.
• Commitment to fostering a culture of quality, innovation, safety, and teamwork.
