About the Role:
We are seeking a Material Supply to join our Warehousing team! Under the direction of a Supervisor, you will be responsible for the shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, transferring and accounting for materials.

What You’ll Do:
- Receive, inspect as to condition and/or specification, and record on appropriate forms, all materials delivered from suppliers through orders.
- Select, pack, ship or issue, and record materials used by other departments or agencies.
- Receive and record materials returned from other departments within the company and determine suitability for inventory, reconditioning or scrap. Arrange for reconditioning as necessary.
- Assist with any activities assigned for major projects including picking orders, tagging and securing in-storage for use on the specified dates.
- Schedule material deliveries or pick-ups as necessary and maintain accurate records of all shipments.
- Perform material counts for both cyclical and group inventories as required. Assist with any recounts that may be necessary.
- Respond to material inquiries received from other departments, including scheduling material delivery or pick-up and advise on material in stock.
- Contact Suppliers to order inexpensive, repetitive materials as required.
- Operate heavy equipment, trucks, forklifts, material handling equipment and related machinery and equipment as required.
- Assist in administering materials, documentation, files and reports.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Advise Inventory Control about shortages or potential shortages of inventory materials as necessary.
- Investigate any Corrective Action Reports that may be received and initiate C.A.R.s as required.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of all procedures and methods of handling Gas Meters if applicable.
- May be required to perform delivery and pickups as required.
- Assist in monitoring Expiry dates on P.E. Pipe, P.E. fittings and risers etc. if applicable.
- Assist third party contractors directly for the supply of materials, including meters, if applicable.
- Check all Account numbers given by internal customers for accuracy.
- Assist in training and direction of new seasonal warehouse staff as required.
- Perform other related duties as required
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to achieve competency in the operation of a forklift and other powered mobile equipment related to the job.
- Must have a valid Alberta First Class “5” driver’s license and a valid in-house operator’s certificate.
- Working knowledge of standard PC office applications and related mainframe systems (Word, Excel, Oracle) would be an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Must have the physical strength to lift heavy materials.
- Must maintain a strong focus on security and safety, including understanding and implementation of appropriate company safety policies and procedures.
- May be transferred to other work locations (operating centers and warehouses) within the Calgary area.
- This is a safety-sensitive position, subject to pre-employment Alcohol & Drug tests as per company policy.
