The Role
As Legal Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Legal team. As the successful candidate for this role, you are analytical with excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and self-motivated to work independently.

The Role
As Legal Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Legal team. As the successful candidate for this role, you are analytical with excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and self-motivated to work independently.
What You Will Do
- Review and process commercial leasing and property management documents for execution by authorized signing officers of owner companies and tenants using DocuSign primarily.
- Track all documents in VTS and process for execution.
- Ensure legal documentation is in line with company policies, procedures, strategies and approved signing authority.
- Process all electronic filing, saving, and helping keep the western legal team organized on a daily basis.
- Work closely with the Leasing team to ensure deals are processed and completed in a timely manner.
- Update the Restrictive Covenant Binder as needed.
- Conduct corporate and Land Title searches.
- Process all regional legal invoices.
- Collect and file all the Guarantee Acknowledgement Act Certificates for Alberta.
- Quarterback deals between the legal team and external counsel; and
- Participate in special projects and take on other duties as assigned.
- Legal Assistant Diploma or Certificate, with previous related experience in a law firm or commercial real estate company.
- Knowledge of commercial leasing or commercial contracts.
- Experience with drafting and negotiating sophisticated complex commercial leases and ancillary legal documents is an asset.
- Well-developed communication skills to effectively collaborate across all levels within and outside the organization.
- Outstanding time management and organizational capabilities to coordinate multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
- Pragmatic approach to problem-solving and analytical review with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong general computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Knowledge of DocuSign and VTS (View the Space) is an asset.
