Lifecycle Marketer Co-op (8-month) - #440622

Relay

Date: 4 days ago
City: Toronto, ON
Contract type: Full time
Our mission is to increase the success rate of small businesses. Traditional banking has been a growth limiter rather than a growth enabler for business owners, and we’re changing that. Relay is the all-in-one, collaborative money management platform. We’re building for employer SMBs and their finance function, internal and external, and are focused on delivering a human-centric customer experience. Ultimately, we help SMBs be ‘on the money'.

As a Lifecycle Marketing Co-op, you will report to the Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager and support the delivery of communications across all stages of the customer lifecycle. You’ll assist with the execution of campaigns across several owned channels, including push notifications, SMS, in-app messaging, and email. This is a highly collaborative role that works cross-functionally with teams such as Product Marketing, Product, Content Marketing, Design, Data Analytics, Compliance, and Customer Support to create a seamless end-user experience.

We’re looking for a motivated self-starter who is eager to learn and passionate about supporting the success of small businesses.

We're looking for this candidate to join us on an 8-month term (May-December).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in building, QA-ing, and launching lifecycle campaigns in Iterable.
  • Set up audience segmentation and dynamic content using business logic in Iterable.
  • Update and maintain campaign documentation and a visual lifecycle journey mapping in Figma.
  • Support the team in reporting on campaign performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversions, etc.).
  • Support in managing and executing our lifecycle email campaign calendar and ensure all requested comms are properly scheduled and launched.
  • Streamline and improve processes such as template setup, loading copy/creative, updating tracking parameters, etc.
  • Conduct competitor research and industry trend analysis to inform lifecycle improvements.

Who You Are

  • You are a new graduate or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • You have an eagerness to learn more about lifecycle marketing including email best practices, customer journeys, engagement tools such as Iterable, as well as segmentation and audience-building.
  • You have strong attention to detail, especially when working with data and QA-ing campaigns.
  • You have clear and proactive written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have a basic understanding of lifecycle marketing principles (segmentation, personalization, CTAs).
  • You have strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to rapidly adapt to new tools and processes.
  • You are naturally curious, you love to understand the “why” behind a problem or question and you aren’t afraid to dig deep into problem-solving

Bonus Points

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (Iterable, Braze, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for emails (editing existing templates).
  • Understanding of CRM systems and customer data management.
  • Interest in fintech, SaaS, or SMB growth strategies.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, campaign optimization concepts, and campaign performance metrics

Our Commitment To You

  • Personal and professional growth: through ongoing feedback, mentorship, and coaching, work with peers and leaders who are invested in your growth and success.
  • Hybrid work environment: we value meaningful collaboration and connection at our Toronto office twice a week, with lunch, snacks, and beverages on us.
  • Dog-friendly space: can dogs really make you happy and healthy? We don’t know for sure, but since we don’t want to chance it, our office is 100% floof-friendly.
  • Top-tier equipment: as a Mac-first company, our Toronto offices have everything you need to produce your best work comfortably, from multiple screens to ergonomic seating.
  • Social connection: we believe in celebrating our wins with two annual company-wide get-togethers, quarterly team events, happy hours, and special events and networking opportunities with industry leaders.
