As a Key Member Of Scotiabank’s Executive Talent Acquisition Team, The Associate, Executive Talent Acquisition Is Accountable For The Following
- Provide confidential support for senior executive search activity, including:
- Actively participate in executive search meeting with search firms and hiring executives.
- Partnering closely with internal teams and external search firms to coordinate candidate interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience; this includes facilitating on-site arrangements and interacting with candidates in person from time to time
- Engaging as a key point of contact with external executive search firms and for executive search vacancies.
- Communicating with relevant parties on search updates, including search team, HR Business Partners, hiring leaders and VP, Leadership & Talent Management
- Manage all invoice processing for Executive Search Budget, ensuring all approvals and submissions are in line with the Bank’s accounting processes.
- Manage and maintain the central Sharepoint database for all Executive Talent Acquisition materials, ensuring documents are kept up to date and archived on a regular basis; provides feedback and recommendations for process improvements for regular processes in Executive TA.
- Work closely with Director, Executive Talent Acquisition in support of various projects across Executive Talent Acquisition; as time permits, may also engage with Executive search team to support on search activities, including candidate sourcing and screening
- Contribute to the overall success of Talent Strategy, delivering on goals, plans and initiatives in support of the team’s overall strategies and objectives
- Support Talent Strategy globally and in alignment with Scotiabank’s vision and Global Human Resources strategy
- Maintain a customer-focused culture throughout the team to deepen internal and external relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
- At least 3 years of progressive human resources experience, in recruitment and/or working with executive-level search.
- At least 1 year of experience in candidate sourcing, including experience working with LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with candidates and colleagues of all levels in the organization.
- Conducts oneself in a highly professional manner and operates with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high priority requests simultaneously.
- Ability to work well as a team player and independently; proactive and flexible; adaptable to change and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple shifting priorities.
- Excellent organizational/time-management skills to manage the volume of executive search.
- Provides recommendations for improvement/streamlining work as needed.
- Experience with candidate screening and assessments is an asset.
- Familiarity with an Applicant Tracking system (ATS) is an asset.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred.
- Bilingual communication skills in French and/or Spanish is an asset.
- Authority: determines most work priorities with little input from Director.
- Decision making: Requires sound judgement and discretion in making day-to-day decisions.
- Accuracy: Ensure processing of vendor invoices is accurate and in line with timelines set out by Accounting.
- Confidentiality: Maintains a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with candidate information and coordinating confidential executive searches, while ensuring a positive candidate experience
- Communication: ensures appropriate communications with stakeholders (executive search firms, Director, HR Business Partners, Vice President, etc.).
- Collaboration: Partners closely with Executive Assistants to SVPs, EVPs and Group Heads, Exec TA team colleagues, and Exec Search firm partners.
- Professionalism: interactions with leaders and candidates are always managed at a high degree of professionalism due to the seniority of the candidates/leaders.
