Position Overview

The Grey Eagle Event Centre Ushers is responsible for welcoming guests attending events in the venue. The Ushers are to collect and scan tickets and/or bar codes to verify authenticity. Ushers are to provide assistance to our guests who may require directions to their assigned seats, restrooms and concession stands, and helping those with special needs (i.e. wheelchairs, walkers). Ushers are to give door checks or stamp, to attendees who are temporarily leaving the venue, and refuse admittance to guests who do not have a ticket(s), valid bar code(s) or pass(es). Should attendees have seating disputes, or have concerns, Ushers are to provide quality solutions. Also, Ushers are required to take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and health of guests, by adhering to safe work practices, at all times.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to work flexible hours when required (days, evenings. Nights, weekends and holidays)
• Abilit to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, stoop or kneel, climb, ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium
• Ability to be exposed to loud noise
