The Clinical Specialist (CS) for Western Canada is responsible for planning and providing customer training and clinical support to customers for both pre-sale and post-sale clinical implementations. This position is considered an integral part of our sales and implementation process and Draeger’s customer satisfaction directives. Clinical Specialists are expected to develop significant customer relationships in their assigned accounts and/or coverage areas and work cooperatively with their assigned sales and implementation team members in the development and execution of account strategies required for successful clinical implementation. Ideal candidate location: The successful candidate must reside in the greater Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton area.

Main Accountabilities:
- Partner with the sales and implementation teams to complete system projects on time and to the customer’s satisfaction
- Partner with the sales and professional services team to ensure optimal delivery and support with pre-sale activities
- Ensure optimal delivery of Clinical Education and Implementation program for assigned modalities
- Develop, implement and/or evaluate health information technology applications, tools, processes, or structures to assist care givers with data management
- Analyze technologies to determine applicability to care giver practice, education, administration, and research. Identify, collect, record or analyze data that is relevant to the care of patients
- Read, analyze and interpret equipment manuals, general business periodicals or professional journals, write reports and business correspondence, and effectively present information in one –on-one and group situations to customers and other employees of the organization
- Collect competitive information and inform sales and marketing in order to give the critical differentiator to the client that will influence the decision, and assist in the development of sales strategy to grow revenue, market share and profit.
Education:
- Active RN or RT license required, BSN, BHSc, AS, Degree preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret equipment manuals, general business periodicals or professional journals.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one –on-one and group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of direct patient care in an acute care or intensive care setting, preferably Adult/Pediatric/Neonatal ICU or Coronary Care.
- Must be willing and able to work in Pediatric settings, including NICU, Operating Room, Cath Lab, Emergency Room, as well as intensive care settings such as Critical Care-ICU, Neuro-ICU, Cardiac-ICU.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Valid international travel documents
- Previous experience as clinical educator and/or related experience in mentoring, content delivery or presentation skills desired.
- Although this position is posted for the territory indicated, travel outside of this territory will be required when business needs arise.
- Must be able to work flexible hours. Some weekend, evening and night work or travel maybe required.
- Bilingual (English and French) preferred.
- This is deemed to be a Safety Sensitive position, where performance limitations (due to substance use, for example) could result in an incident or situation with the potential for high consequences. Therefore, you may be subject to post-employment drug or alcohol screenings, for example, prior to performing work at customer sites.
- This is a remote position; travel is required up to 75%
- Working days and hours will vary to adjust the business needs of our customers. Afterhours and some weekend work may be required.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 kg.
