Human Resources Coordinator for mid sized retail client, Mississauga.


Marberg Job Number: 2566.

Job Type: Temporary.

Initial Term: ASAP for approximately 8 months, with possibility of extension or conversion to direct-hire.

Compensation: From $23 per hour to $25 per hour, according to experience.

Regular Work Hours: From 8:30 am to 5:30 pm not including 1 hour unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday (40 work hours per week).

Work Location: 100% onsite at client's Mississauga head office, with free parking provided. Occasional site visits to other GTA locations may be required.

Position Reports To: HR Manager.


Responsibilities Summary:

To support and maintain corporate HR programs, processes and best practices, creating a positive work environment and upholding corporate values of safety, integrity, courtesy, quality and efficiency.

  • Work with internal contacts to create and distribute monthly team member newsletter.
  • Create and manage job descriptions for all positions, and standard operating procedures where applicable.
  • Handle end to end recruitment cycle for designated hiring positions.
  • On-board all new hires as per corporate culture and expectations.
  • Administer training courses and apprenticeship program registrations and communicate eligibility for upcoming sessions to applicable managers.
  • Maintain confidential employee records
  • Maintain employee recognition program and provide managers with monthly reporting for their teams.
  • Complete and coordinate business continuity monthly updates.
  • Manage staff uniform inventory and issuance.
  • Additional HR support responsibilities as required.


Qualifications:

Education: Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources.

Professional Credentials: CHRP in progress an asset.

Preferred Work Experience: Approximately 1 year of experience in human resources.


Technical and Language Skills Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in MSOffice Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams (will be tested).
  • Excellent data entry and attention to detail (will be tested).
  • Excellent English business writing skills (will be tested).
  • Excellent spoken English communication skills, with polished, professional telephone manners.

  • Superior attention to detail, and organized, methodical approach to completion of tasks.
  • Demonstrated successful experience of prioritizing work, making decisions and communicating with others within a values framework of respect, equity, anti-racism, diversity and inclusivity.


Additional Requirements:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite, abiding by organization health and safety policies.
  • Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of assignment responsibilities.
  • Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
  • Satisfactory Background Checks, Technical Skills Evaluations, and Employment References.
