Location: Mississauga (onsite)

General Duties:

  • Repair and test avionics components on a bench environment.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft avionics systems.
  • Inspect and recertify completed repaired components and aircraft.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, test and repair avionics components.
  • Operate, function test and troubleshoot avionics systems on board aircraft.
  • Document work accomplished and reference data used.

Track and record time required to complete work

Skills and Experiences:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as avionics technician.
  • A Transport Canada AME “E” license is preferred and may count as two (2) years experience at the discretion of the Avionics Service Manager.

Education:

  • High School or equivalent
  • Avionics or Electronics College Diploma
  • Transport Canada approved regulatory training.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
