About the workplace

Vancity's Marketing team is looking to recruit a Marketing Coordinator. Join a dynamic and experienced team of marketers to support a variety of marketing initiatives and campaigns.

This is a permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. This role may require you to work in-office at least once a week.


A typical day would involve:

  • Provide execution support to meet marketing plan objectives.
  • Receive, coordinate, prepare and distribute marketing materials to the appropriate distribution channels in order to meet business needs.
  • Lead the use of deployment, measurement and repository tools so that materials are properly scheduled, collected and measured.
  • Facilitate the work of the team by anticipating needs and managing all administrative support functions (e.g. information triage and exchange, meeting management, report preparation, general team member support) in order to maximize capacity.
  • Manage the owned channel calendars to ensure optimization.
  • Proactively explore data and find opportunities to improve user engagement, growth and profitability.


You have:

  • Specialized post-secondary diploma or undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related role
  • Strongly familiar with marketing principles, practices and channels.
  • Proficiency with digital channels
  • Strong analytical mindset, ideally with expertise in data-driven campaign optimization and data visualization.
  • Able to demonstrate strong organizational capabilities.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and fluctuating workloads - you adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Able to deal with multiple stakeholders in a matrixed organization.


Bonus points, if you have previous experience with or an interest in:

  • Marketing automation tools
  • Copywriting
  • Wordpress or other content management tools
  • Banking or Financial Institutions

  • A strong communicator - written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills to represent the Vancity brand in the community, interact with community members and build relationships.

The salary range for this role is $44,700 to $67,100 annually. A candidate’s offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role. The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
