We currently have fantastic opportunity for a People & Culture Business Partner with a strong Employee Relations background to join a progressive and dynamic organization and a growing P&C team in Vancouver. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture Operations, responsibilities will include the full spectrum of best practices in the areas of employee relations, performance management, succession planning, and policies. Key focus will be building positive relationships across the business and partnering with the business leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic partner to leadership to help develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals
  • Lead and support key people initiatives related to culture, engagement, talent management & development and workforce planning
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, have a bias for action – results oriented
  • The ability to think big but also not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves"
  • Coaching and mentoring leaders within the organization
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices, legislative changes and industry standards
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Believe in and live the Modern Niagara Core Values-Teamwork, Initiative, Dedication, Professionalism, Passion
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in progressive HR roles
  • Experience in a unionized environment an asset
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence to establish trust, maintain confidential information, and foster strong relationships with business leaders, partners, and top talent
