Skretting is seeking Warehouse Manager to manage the warehousing function for Skretting Vancouver Warehouse, to ensure safe, efficient and effective warehousing and internal distribution processes to optimally support the production and delivery of feed to customers according to the agreed standards and time frames.

The Warehouse Manager provides operational direction to warehouse team and is responsible for all supervisory activities including, but not limited to, warehouse, storage, control and distribution of goods.

Job Description:

About The Role:

Warehouse and Inventory Management:

• Ensures the accuracy of deliveries from the team according to Skretting procedures (labeling, dating, FIFO principles, etc.) and oversees placement into warehouse
• In charge of inventory accuracy and assets though stock take / inventory controls and monitor / root cause analysis and actions in case of variations
• Works closely with other functions (production, planning, S&OP, Purchasing) and production facilities to ensure that adequate and appropriate inventory and storage is available to meet customer demands. Takes actions to remedy as needed.
• Resolves complex issues arising from variances with relevant parties (suppliers, production, customers, customer service, finance and 3rd parties)
• Oversees the accurate and timely data entry of all warehouse and related activities into software applications and databases
  
  

Oversee the Warehouse Operations & Compliance

• Develops, maintains and documents, policies, processes and procedures and ensure safe and legally compliant warehousing and logistics operations
• Efficient and cost-effective storage and movement of materials and products within the warehouse and throughout the production system.
• Analyses and reports on the performance, capacity, and volume of warehousing activities for use in short- and long-term strategic planning
• Ensures the warehouses, internal fleet and all processes and procedures are compliant with insurance, legal licensing requirements and with any national, state and local regulations.
  
  

People management:

• Provides leadership to so that all reports are aware of what they are required to achieve and how they are performing against their objectives.
• Develops and directs all warehouse, logistics team and drivers to ensure the efficient operation
  
  

Continuous improvement:

• Continuously reviews methods, techniques and procedures, service providers & costs in order to proactively initiate changes to supply chain channels & ensure products are warehoused effectively at least cost, while supporting efficient customer service. Make recommendations to senior management on programs to improve warehousing.
  
  

Skills And Expertise

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with relevant field of study
• Solid background in warehouse with 6- 7 + years of experience in warehouse management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office solutions
