Program Manager, Manufacturing Description


Our client in the contract manufacturing industry is seeking a Program Manager to join their team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will oversee the successful execution of complex, cross-functional projects, ensuring all milestones are delivered on time and on budget. Acting as the key point of contact between clients and internal departments, you’ll translate customer requirements into coordinated action plans, proactively manage risks, and resolve issues as they arise. You will also lead and mentor a small team of junior project managers, contributing to both client satisfaction and continuous improvement across the organization. As part of a newly established department, this role offers the chance to help shape its structure and processes that will support scalable growth and client success – an ideal fit for someone eager to make their mark in a fast-paced environment.


Program Manager, Manufacturing Responsibilities


• Manage multiple projects ensuring delivery on time and within budget

• Serve as primary point of contact for assigned client accounts

• Communicate customer expectations across internal departments

• Track and report on project performance and KPIs

• Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat work

• Coordinate internal teams and external vendors for project execution

• Develop project plans and use PM tools to monitor progress

• Address risks and adjust schedules and budgets as needed

• Prepare and present regular project status reports and Gantt charts

• Oversee project documentation and ensure accuracy of records

• Facilitate team meetings to align goals and resolve blockers

• Oversee and mentor two junior project managers

• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement


Program Manager, Manufacturing Qualifications


• 5+ years of project or program management in manufacturing experience required

• Experience coordinating and tracking production schedules and timelines required

• Customer-facing experience required

• Leadership and management experience required

• Excellent English communication (verbal and written) skills required

• Proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables), Gantt charts and project management tools required
