To assist with the provision of patient care and the efficient operation of the unit/area under the direction of a health care professional.

To assist with the provision of patient care and the efficient operation of the unit/area under the direction of a health care professional.
Education:
- Completed a recognized program for personal support worker
- Current Basic Rescuer Certificate in Basic Cardiac Life support or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hiring
- Member of the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA) and/or Personal Support Network of Ontario (PSNO) an asset
- Previous patient care experience in health care environment or health related community work, preferred
- Able to discern relevant information to make effective judgments and decisions to manage care
- Great Customer Service
- Take Initiative
- Commitment to Life Long Learning
- Outstanding Communication with team members, patients and families
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to speak a second language, an asset
- Able to prioritize and organize assigned tasks
- Able to learn new tasks quickly
- Functions as an integral member of the health care team
- Basic Computer skills
