Daily Life
As a participant in this unique outreach program, you will engage in one-on-one conversational classes with young and adult Buddhist monks at the monastery. Youll have the opportunity to share your language skills by teaching in both English and Chinese, fostering understanding and connection with diverse age groups. In return, youll be invited to deepen your knowledge of Buddhism and spirituality, enriching your personal growth and cultural awareness.
Following an introductory week in the vibrant city of Kathmandu, youll be warmly welcomed into the monasterys accommodations. Here, youll share a comfortable room with fellow participants, creating a close-knit community of like-minded individuals. Situated in the serene Tinchuli neighborhood of Boudha, the monastery boasts a harmonious and well-designed campus, providing an ideal environment for both study and practice.
As you immerse yourself in this tranquil setting, youll find the perfect balance between focused teaching and personal reflection, allowing you to make the most of this life-changing experience.
