Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Shipper and Reciever. Eaton's Edmonton Power Centre (EPC) is our Canadian Manufacturing Facility that specializes in custom configurations of low and medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage motor control centres, and coordination centre for our Integrated Power Centre (E-House) offering. EPC creates custom product configurations, designs transition sections to replace outdated equipment, configures solutions for retrofit challenges, and manufactures unique front-access low and medium voltage switchgear solutions.
What You’ll Do

Are you enthusiastic about shipping and receiving? Do you have experience in light industrial shipping and receiving processes? Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor this position will be responsible for receiving in bound goods to the EPC using our supply chain management tools. They will also be responsible for preparing outbound orders in compliance with the requirements of our customers.
If so, we want you to join our team as a: Shipper and Receiver. We are seeking 2 qualified candidates (to be onsite) based in our Edmonton, AB location.

What will you do?
Management of inbound and outbound goods: Manage receipt of incoming goods by inspecting, confirming, and receiving against purchase orders and/ or shipping documents. Verify data and resolve problems regarding receiving/delivering inbound shipments. Load and off-load goods from trailers and couriers.
Internal coordination: Communicate and coordinate with freight companies as required. Deliver materials to their appropriate locations. Work with production, engineering, and supply chain to locate products and resolve incoming material discrepancies with supply chain planners.
Systems Management: Assist with inventory control and maintain item locations in Oracle. Perform inspections and update our WISPER system. Issue DMR’s against suppliers. Participate in Eaton’s safety program (MESH). Organize and maintain the warehouse – as per Eaton’s EPC 5S process.
Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values, as well as Safety and Environmental standards.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes in a manufacturing facility and a willingness to learn. The candidate should be comfortable working at a desk but also working on the shop floor with front line employees to discuss shipping and receiving issues and implement new processes where required.
Experience as a shipper and receiver will help you are you perform the required duties and ensure that we are shipping our items in the time required to the customer (operating for growth).
A good verbal and written communicator with experience in working with other employees to understand and communicate the needs of the department. Along with a proven ability to use computers and hand scanners.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ working experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 1 year experience driving a forklift. Forklift certification is required – Eaton will provide training.
- Completion of High School or GED equivalent is required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Outlook, and basic knowledge of Excel
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada without the sponsorship of a company.
- Only candidates residing within an 80 km radius of Edmonton will be considered for this position. No moving (relocation) is offered for this position.
- ERP knowledge preferred.
- Crane Certification – however, Eaton will provide training.
- Knowledge of mechanical or electrical components preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing is preferred.
- Understanding of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) would be an asset.
