Over the past 25 years our clients core operations, within the High Voltage Division, specialize in Safety Watch, Network Access, Maintenance, and Inspection Services. All their qualified utility employees have extensive knowledge and experience in the ground up construction of Substations and High Voltage infrastructure with confidence and knowledge in the significant differences of performing work within a high voltage environment. Their experience, industry knowledge, and high standards have given us an extremely in-depth understanding of the history, processes, expectations and strong working relationships with their industry partners.
All work they perform is local to the Calgary area and no travel that will require overnight stays. You will be home every day! They offer a competitive renumeration package including benefits, company vehicle, etc.

Responsibilities
- Work with a variety of other trades, professionals, and persons requiring access to substation and network infrastructure.
- Ensure everyone on-site is aware of the hazards for the areas they are being provided access to.
- Ensure they safely perform any required tasks while within the high voltage environment safely and to the standards (Safety, Quality, and Environmental) of our client and the utility owner.
- Ensure public safety while performing any work (site access restrictions, vehicle and pedestrian traffic, etc.)
- Recognized Alberta Journeyperson certification as a Power System Electrician (PSE).
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a PSE - working in Substations and/or Network infrastructure (Manholes, Vaults, etc.).
- Valid Class 5 drivers license for the Province of Alberta.
- Basic security clearance required.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta Electrical Utility Code and Alberta Safety Legislation (OHS Code).
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively communicate.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A professional and respectful attitude with a strong customer service focus.
- Dependable, Reliable, and ability to work Independently.
- Fall protection, Confined Space, Aerial Work platform and Standard First Aid an asset.
