Data Platform Analyst:

On behalf of our Government client, Procom is searching for a Data Platform Analyst for a contract role. This position is a hybrid position with occasional days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.


Data Platform Analyst - Job Description:

The Data Platform Analyst will support the design, development, and implementation of cloud platforms and applications to enhance data access and collaboration across the Government client. This role involves working within a team to ensure cloud systems are effectively leveraged to benefit Albertans through enhanced data services.


Data Platform Analyst - Responsibilities:

• Lead system implementation, design, and architecture for Cloud Data Platforms and key cloud services.
• Design, build, and customize ServiceNow applications and workflows.
• Implement integrations between ServiceNow and other systems using APIs.
• Support scalable, reliable, and automatable data infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and administer data platforms, including system performance and user access.
• Configure cloud-based tools for cost, security, and compliance management.
• Collaborate to optimize infrastructure systems for scalability and reliability.
• Contribute to defining and establishing an Enterprise Data Strategy.
• Participate in sprint planning, version control, and automated testing.
• Document configurations and processes for knowledge transfer.
  
  
  

Data Platform Analyst - Mandatory Skills:

• Experience in cloud platform administration and architecture design.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow application development and configuration.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake.
• Experience with ITIL-based service management.
• Strong understanding of data governance and metadata management.
• Ability to ensure data privacy and security compliance.

Data Platform Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with Cloudera and Databricks.
• Experience with Agile delivery and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of the GoA Data Strategy.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and user support.
