YOUR ROLE: Senior Java Backend Developer

WORK YOU’LL DO

Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.

Collaborate with clients, architects, and application architectures to understand the operational objectives and purpose of the future system integration

Understand the points of integration between the different systems and highlight the potential risks associated with the delivery of solutions

Collaborate with Functional Designers and Developers in order to find best solutions

Produce detailed functional and technical specifications

Assist in producing solutions with threat assessments and associated security awareness

Basic Qualifications :

8+ years of experience Java development

8+ years of using Java framework such as Spring/Spring boot

8+ years of database experience such as Oracle, SQL Server

8+ years of working with different data formats such as XML, JSON

Advanced and extensive knowledge of the technical environment, standards, processes, procedures, programming languages and operating systems

Must have worked with the following: Java 8, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Microservices, Maven, SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, RESTful API, Data Structures

5+ years in API knowledge and development

Must have experience leading teams (onshore and offshore)

Agile experience required

Experience developing within agile methodology using CI/CD pipeline

Experienced in 3-tier, n-tier, cloud computing, microservices architectures and SOA.

Good knowledge of integration architectures

Experience supporting and/or implementing complex integration projects

Excellent client management skills

Experience with Data modeling would be an asset

Agile experience required

This role will require willingness to attend to the client site for atleast 2 -3 days every week in Toronto, ON.

A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or mathematics or completion of a college program in computer science.
