Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and support student learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help students grow.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to enhance student learning.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Required subject qualifications: Intermediate & Senior Mathematics + I/S Other
- FTE: 1.0
- Grade(s)/assignment: 9-12
- Tentative course codes (if known):
- Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing

- First Consideration: Teachers covered by the OSSTF Permanent Teachers’ Collective Agreement (1.0., 0.5, Article 10 teachers) who possess the required qualifications.(For clarity, an Article 10 teacher is a day school teacher at Durham Continuing Education who has signed a contract with the Board They are considered Article 10 for the school year.)
- Second Consideration: Candidates from outside of the OSSTF permanent bargaining unit.
- External hires can take up to 10 working days to be processed which could affect the start date for this position
