ABI Rehabilitation is the lead provider of intensive in-patient brain injury rehabilitation in New Zealand, serving 18 of the 20 DHBs. We are the only provider in Australasia to have attained the CARF Accreditation, an international gold standard for person centered, quality rehabilitation.

A full-time permanent position has become available to join our progressive inter-professional team. This role offers you clinical experience providing physiotherapy for clients with acquired brain injury in the intensive inpatient rehabilitation setting.

We are seeking a Physiotherapist with a minimum of two years’ experience; NZ registered with a current practicing certificate.

Previous experience in neurological and brain injury rehabilitation is highly preferred, however, open to all candidates based on experience.

You will work with a team of health professionals, and contribute to key clinical areas including:

  • provision of a specialist Physiotherapy service (assessment and management) to clients presenting with acquired brain injury
  • implementing and evaluating rehabilitation plans and strategies
  • providing education and training to family/whānau
  • contributing to outcome measures
  • report writing
  • ongoing training and development of our staff

Knowledge and experience in working with clients requiring a variety of rehabilitation, such as musculoskeletal, respiratory, in addition to neurological presentations is advantageous but not essential.
