Description
Delivery Planning performs a mix of analytical operational work including:
- Managing operational outcomes for the delivery business in all of Just Eat Takeaway.com’s Delivery markets, by:
- Controlling courier supply on our delivery network (in each of 500+ zones across 5 countries, 365 days per year).
- Operating Skip’s Delivery technology to achieve desired outcomes for customers, restaurants, couriers.
- Surfacing information insights about the delivery business to all relevant stakeholders, to enable informed decision-making across the company.
- Analyzing data to understand drivers of Delivery performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
What’s On Your Plate:
- Develop and implement strategy, structure and process to enable the Delivery Planning team to be successful.
- DIrect oversight of ‘Delivery Forecasting Insights’, ‘Scheduling Operations’ and ‘Delivery Logistics’ teams
- Delivery Forecasting Insights is responsible for data-driven analysis of Delivery performance (looking backward) and identifying opportunities for improvement (looking forward).
- Scheduling Operations manages the publishing of courier schedules everywhere that the company delivers orders, and works closely with the Forecasting Insights team to manage courier supply for optimal Delivery outcomes.
- Delivery Logistics operates Skip’s order-assignment logistics tools to oversee Delivery performance in real time.
- Oversee day-to-day operational performance in all Delivery markets (5 countries), serving as a key point of contact for leadership in all countries.
- Lead consistent delivery of insights and reporting to all stakeholders.
- Well versed in data-analysis/modeling techniques for forecasting analysis purposes.
- Work with Product Tech leadership to help develop and improve Skip’s proprietary Delivery technology.
- Assist Finance teams in multiple countries with managing financial performance of the Delivery business.
- Deep experience in data analysis, financial modeling or other similar quantitative disciplines.
- Exceptional clarity and originality of thought; able to deconstruct solve complex problems from first principles.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to effectively convey complex ideas and instill confidence in senior, global audiences across a variety of functions.
- Able to work fully independently; very strong in organizing prioritizing to navigate a high volume of fast-paced, constantly varied work; able to influence others toward the same.
- Strong leadership experience; keen to act as a mentor to a large team with a significant number of direct reports.
- Builder’s mindset, relentlessly focused on solving problems rather than just identifying them.
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma or other Operations principles and techniques for ensuring strong, consistent execution.
