Aon Reed Stenhouse has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President - Senior Risk Consultant on our Canadian team.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Toronto/Calgary/Vancouver office.

What The Day Will Look Like

Distinctive Client Value

• Leading innovation for the benefit of Aon Natural Resources clients and prospects
• Conducting hazard identification and risk assessments for clients
• Delivering and enhancing our Transition Analytics
• Understanding and researching emerging technologies, their risks and client exposures
• Project managing Aon’s innovation projects leading to new products and service offerings
• Providing consulting services to our clients to support the reduction of risk in their operations
• Identify opportunities for business development and participate in sales presentations to prospects
• Participate in consultancy assignments to support stakeholders at all stages of project lifecycle Identify and evaluate potential project risks at all phases of a project lifecycle and propose technical solutions

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

• A strong technical background is required - preferably an engineering degree.
• 8 -10 Years’ experience as an Engineer within the Energy Sector.
• Experience in high hazard occupancies.
• Sound understanding in digitalization and data and analytic fundamentals
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position.
• The person appointed will be a team player who can also work independently.
• The ability to be incisive in analyzing technical problems and delivering cost effective solutions is a key skill requirement
• Other qualifications and experience that may be beneficial for this position include:
• Experience in using data and analytics to drive meaningful insight and value to clients. Familiarisation with visualisation tools such as PowerBI and Tableau is advantageous.
• Versant with the emerging risks and technologies that will enable the energy transition, including but not limited to: wind, hydrogen, CCS, solar.
