Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000

Location: Montreal - Hybrid (2-3 days at the office per week)

Position overview

We don’t see HR as a support function — we see it as a product people interact with every day. From the first interview to the last offboarding chat (and everything in between), we’re designing an experience that’s clear, human, and worth subscribing to. As our HR Business Partner, you’ll help us bring that vision to life. You’ll work closely with the Head of HR to support our team through growth, change, and the unique opportunities of scaling a fast-growing company. Part coach, part builder, part operator — this role is hands-on, collaborative, and built to adapt as we grow.

Key responsibilities

  • Be a go-to partner for managers and employees — coaching through team dynamics, supporting growth conversations, and helping navigate day-to-day people questions.
  • Drive clarity and momentum in core people processes — from onboarding to offboarding, internal mobility, and everything in between.
  • Keep us compliant and human — support policy updates, manager enablement, and change communications that scale with us.
  • Simplify the employee experience — spotting friction, proposing better workflows, and co-building tools and resources that make things smoother.
  • Make data useful — turn survey results, feedback, and people metrics into clear insights and next steps.
  • Jump in where it matters most — from compensation to growth plans to special projects — depending on your strengths and our quarterly focus.
  • Help grow the team — support recruitment and partner with our Talent Partner when hiring needs ramp up.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in HR, People Ops, or an HRBP-style role — ideally in a high-growth or startup environment
  • A deep curiosity in how teams work, grow, and thrive
  • Someone who believes HR is a product — and knows how to deliver a stellar “customer” experience.
  • A systems-thinker with an eye for improvement and a bias toward action
  • Strong instincts with people — you know how to listen, when to push back, and how to build trust.
  • A collaborator who loves working with a team but can also run with a project solo.
  • Data-savvyness - you can turn people metrics into insights and insights into momentum.
  • A proactive problem-solver who’s energized by new ideas and constantly looking to improve the status quo.
