The Opportunity

At OpenText, we don’t just deliver information—we transform how it's experienced. Our Sales Enablement team is on a mission to redefine learning. We're looking for a creative technologist and visionary instructional designer who lives at the intersection of learning science and immersive innovation. If you think in simulations, dream in gamification, and prototype with VR, this role is built for you.

You’ll be a pivotal part of our Instructional Design Center of Excellence, helping us push the boundaries of how enablement happens—from static content to interactive, unforgettable learning journeys.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop immersive, multi-modal learning experiences using virtual/augmented reality, 360° video, branching simulations, and game-based mechanics.
• Lead the entire instructional design lifecycle—needs analysis, storyboarding, development, deployment, and iterative enhancement.
• Collaborate with SMEs, developers, and fellow designers to transform complex topics into engaging, narrative-driven training.
• Integrate UX/UI design thinking to create seamless, intuitive user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
• Deploy learning through LMS and LXP platforms, leveraging tools like Articulate 360, Synthesia, Docebo, and others.
• Apply learning science and frameworks (e.g., SAM, ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Kirkpatrick Model) to shape strategy and measure success.
• Stay ahead of trends in learning tech and edtech innovation—evaluating new tools and championing pilot programs.
• Mentor peers and shape the evolution of immersive learning standards within the team.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years of experience in instructional design, with a strong focus on sales enablement or enterprise learning.
• Proven track record building immersive learning content (portfolio strongly preferred).
• Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools, LMS/LXPs, and preferably immersive tech platforms (e.g., Synthesia, Docebo, Articulate, etc.).
• Deep understanding of learning theory and adult learning principles.
• Creative storytelling and scripting abilities, especially for scenario-based and game-based learning.
• Data-driven mindset with experience measuring engagement, retention, and learning transfer.
