This role will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, guidance, training, and technical support to a variety of departments. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
- Provide leadership, direction, guidance, training, and technical support to the following departments: Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Processing and Reception
- Develop strategic plans and set departmental targets to meet company goals
- Drive the profitable growth of the company, maximizing retention and new business
- Exhibit and promote the company’s vision, goals, and values
- Inspire a culture of high performance, productivity, collaboration, customer service, and professionalism
- Foster leadership development through performance evaluation, ongoing effective feedback and training opportunities for leaders of the Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Processing and Reception departments
- Represent the brokerage with carrier partners and within the community
- Build relationships with key clients to ensure a high level of client satisfaction
- Be a company ambassador at various industry events
- Develop, modify and implement operational standards and processes to ensure a high level of compliance, customer service and efficiency
- Participate in Recruitment of team members in conjunction with Human Resources
- Be an active in-office presence Monday-Friday
- Travel to and work in other Alberta offices regularly and Ontario on occasion
- 8+ years of experience with industry expertise in insurance
- Alberta General Level 2 Insurance License
- RIBO license would be considered an asset
- Insurance designation – CAIB, CIP, or equivalent
- Natural leader and relationship builder with a proven track record of developing, coaching and leading high-performance teams and leaders
- Passion for driving growth with a proven track record for achieving results
- Process driven, highly organized and detail oriented
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong ability to analyze data and scenarios and create effective strategic plans
- Strong ability to inspire, influence, and negotiate effectively
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Applied Systems (Epic) experience would be an asset
- Familiarity with EOS would be an asset
