We are seeking a Full Time Assistant Banquet Supervisor for our Food & Beverage Banquet department. As part of the Food & Beverage Service Team at The Glencoe Club, you will assist the Banquet Supervisor and act as the leader in their absence. You will be involved in developing processes and systems for the Banquet team. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional member service experience by leading by example, directing and facilitating serving staff to provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to members and guests while striving for consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service excellence and a positive experience to members and guests
  • Ensure timely and effective two way communication between members, guests, staff, kitchen brigade and supervisors
  • Assist with leading the Front of House Team and delegate tasks to them as needed.
  • Effectively address members concerns and complaints immediately and communicate appropriately to applicable food and beverage team members as part of the member feedback process
  • Assist in conducting and training of new employees and on-going training of current personnel
  • Plan and execute details and requirements on Banquet Event Orders including special set ups
  • Oversee daily operations and service of 29 Degrees (Poolside Service)
  • Other assignments as required

Qualifications

  • A proven track record, with minimum of 2 years’ experience in the food & beverage servicindustry
  • Previous supervisory experience an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
  • A team player who can lead, organize and engage in the delivery of training and develop and maintain service standards
  • High standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Conflict resolution
  • Exceptional service skills, food and beverage knowledge and inventory controls

Additional Details

This is a Full Time position that reports to the Banquets Supervisor. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace online certifications prior to commencing employment.
