Position Overview:

As a key member of GFL’s Finance team, the Accounts Receivable Assistant will be looked to for a strong eye for detail and accuracy. The chosen individual will perform a wide range of finance/accounting duties and will work closely with other members of the Accounting & Finance team to ensure timely and controlled payment processing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Credit Card Payments
• AR collections
• Perform AR adjustments
• Assist with AR incoming calls
• Work with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Apply cash receipts to outstanding invoices
• Help other departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Experience, Skills, and Competencies:

• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Own reliable means of transportation to get to the office.
• Ability to change and adapt to an evolving environment
• High level of data entry accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience and knowledge of accounting practices
• Strong understanding of invoicing and accounts receivable
• Ability to change and adapt to an evolving environment
• Experience and knowledge of accounting practices
• Strong understanding of PO’s and journal entries
