Our GFL team is expanding, and we’re looking for a Director – Finance Transformation to join our North American team. You will be supporting the overall development of the enterprise transformation strategy with a focus on the successful implementation and delivery of Finance-focused initiatives.

A “Day in the Life" of a Director – Finance Transformation:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive finance transformation strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and overall enterprise strategic roadmap.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of finance technologies, such as ERP systems and automation tools, to improve financial reporting and analysis. Governance over the existing ERP platform and support ongoing usage and enhancement initiatives.
  • Drive organizational change management to ensure adoption of new processes and technologies within the finance team and across the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and external partners to align finance transformation initiatives with business objectives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of transformation initiatives and report on progress to executive management.
  • Mentor and develop finance staff to build a high-performing team capable of executing the transformation strategy.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on transformation, process improvement, or project management.
  • Proven track record of leading successful finance transformation initiatives in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of finance technologies and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in change management methodologies is a plus.
