Reporting to the Manager, Inventory Operations, the Specialist, Parts Inventory will be responsible for various activities related to supply planning in the areas related to Inventory forecasting, sourcing/ordering and stocking while ensuring corporate fill rates and inventory levels are met.

Essential Duties Include (but Are Not Limited To)

• Responsible for Master Data Creation (Parts Creation) and Master Data Maintenance (ie. Parts Updates and Lead Time maintenance).
• Ensure planning attributes are set-up and maintained in ERP system.
• Conduct analysis and corrective action for dealer backorders and out of stock situations.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and MCI to resolve procurement related problems.
• Review Unmatched and Cancelled Reports (Purchase Order (PO) Acknowledgement).
• Responsible for PO Management including managing failed inbound PO lines, updating past due POs, reconciling Advanced Shipping Notice data and aged PO cancellation.
• Report monthly excess and obsolete inventory levels to management.
• Support the Inventory Management team with report generation.
• Develop recommendations to improve inventory management and productivity.
  
  

Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required)

• Post-secondary education in a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of related work experience in supply chain/planning.
• General knowledge of global supply chain operations is required.
• Basic understanding of inventory management principles is required.
• Basic understanding of purchasing fundamentals is required.
• APICS or similar accreditation or current enrolment in a recognized program is considered an asset.
• Solid ERP / MRP experience, preferably with an Oracle background.
• Demonstrated ability to use analytical tools to solve problems.
• Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Continuous improvement and results oriented mindset.
• Proficient in MS Office (intermediate Excel skills including use of formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.)
