ATCO Frontec is looking for a passionate and driven Regional Sales Representative to join our team in Alberta. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for expanding our Mechanical and Electrical service contracts across the province. We are seeking an individual with a minimum of five years of experience from a well-established plumbing, heating, or air conditioning company.

As the Regional Sales Representative, you will play a key role in growing ATCO Facility Solutions in Calgary, Edmonton, and the surrounding areas. Your primary responsibilities will include building and nurturing relationships with clients in the Multi-Family Housing, Industrial, and Commercial sectors. You will actively pursue new business opportunities and offer a range of services, including heating, air conditioning, and electrical service contracts, replacement products, and ongoing maintenance tailored to our customers' needs.

By capturing and closing key account sales opportunities, you will significantly contribute to ATCO Frontec’s revenue growth and enhance our competitive position in the marketplace.

We are looking for a seasoned sales professional with at least five years of experience in mechanical sales, including boilers, rooftop units, and building automation services. Additionally, ATCO Frontec now operates a Fire division; you will have the opportunity to collaborate with their sales team for potential synergies and additional commission on successful sales opportunities.

Candidates located in Calgary or Edmonton are preferred. This is a hybrid position that requires travel for sales growth opportunities, as well as occasional trips to our main office in Calgary.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities for preventative maintenance and service contracts across HVAC, plumbing, ventilation, and electrical systems.
  • Build relationships with facility managers, property managers, building owners, and procurement professionals.
  • Conduct site assessments and system evaluations to develop tailored maintenance solutions based on equipment condition, usage, and client objectives.
  • Prepare detailed service proposals and present value-driven solutions focused on reducing downtime, extending equipment life, and improving energy efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the service operations team to ensure seamless contract implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Track contract renewals and proactively manage existing accounts to ensure client retention and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry standards, code compliance requirements, and technological developments that impact building maintenance.
  • Accurately maintain CRM records including sales pipeline, contacts, site data, and activity reports.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a background in Service sales, Building Maintenance solutions such as HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical.
  • Good to have is knowledge of property fire system needs.
  • Diploma or trade certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Technology, Building Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales or business development, preferably in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Experience selling service agreements or facility maintenance contracts is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative sales skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a long sales cycle.
  • Proficient with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the province.
  • Demonstrated expertise in all phases of proposal development.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.

  • Solid interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships.
