Job Description

The Opportunity:

Our team is growing, and we're looking for Laboratory Technicians to join our amazing group of professionals. As part of the Construction Services, Materials Engineering, and Laboratory Group in Cambridge, you'll be responsible for driving forward our ambitious plans to enhance our service offering in the province through your work with a close-knit team of engineering specialists, professionals, and technical staff. What you can expect to do here:

  • Conduct testing in accordance with company processes and national standards.
  • Perform testing on soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Ensure the laboratory is kept in a safe, clean, and tidy condition, and that equipment is maintained and in good working order.
  • Uphold the security of the laboratory and its confidential records.
  • Report all non-conforming product test samples in line with quality procedures and store them until their related issues are resolved.


What you'll bring to WSP:

  • Prior experience in laboratory testing, particularly with soils, aggregates, and concrete.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision within a small team.
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards in all testing procedures.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software such as MS Office suite.
