Finning Canada is looking for a passionate Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our industry leading team in Estevan, SK. This role will be responsible for disassembly and assembly, maintenance and diagnostics of a variety of Caterpillar equipment in a shop environment.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions

• Disassembley and assembly of CAT Used Equipment including (but not limited to): drives, brakes, components
• Perform a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
• Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
• Interact with internal and external customers
• Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required
  
  

Specific Skills & Experience

• Journeyperson Red Seal HET certification required
• Ability to manage time and priorities
• Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Completion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls, or Tier 4 training would be considered an asset
• Completion of Caterpillar product courses would be considered an asset
• Previous repair and troubleshooting experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
