ACCOUNTING SUPPORT – STUDENT

Who is an Accounting Support Student?

The Accounting Support - Student role provides administrative support to the accounting department by performing a variety of clerical and accounting-related tasks, including but not limited to, organization of accounting documents and records, data entry and assisting in account reconciliations

What will you be doing?

• Supports the operations of accounting department
• Scans and Indexes department documents
• Organizes and maintains departmental files and documents
• Assists with preparation of year end working papers for auditors
• Assists with data entry of vendor invoices
• Assists with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable General Ledger account reconciliations
• Assists with investigation of identified discrepancies in account reconciliations
• Assists with employment contract amendments as required
• Organizes incoming and outgoing department mail, including customer receipts and vendor payments
• Maintains a positive relationship with all Associates and Vendors being serviced by the department
• Assists others with their tasks when necessary to ensure department deadlines are met
  
  

Do you have what it takes?

• High School Diploma
• Completion of Accounting courses
• Strong knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel
• High Level of motivation, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
