This position can be based in one of our Ontario offices, Delta BC office, St. John’s office, Charlottetown PE office, or Halifax, NS office. As a member of the IP Engineering team, the Network Administrator III will be responsible for providing expert-level support and administration for our Managed Enterprise customer networks. This role requires a deep understanding of complex network architectures and the ability to manage and maintain a diverse range of enterprise/service provider networking and security technologies.

The Network Administrator III will be a key player in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our customer networks. This role will involve advanced troubleshooting, configuration, implementation, and automation of network devices, with a primary focus on PaloAlto, Cisco/Juniper routing, Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco ISE, and Meraki solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement complex network solutions for Managed Enterprise customers, utilizing best in class solutions from PaloAlto, Cisco, Juniper, and Meraki.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to customer services.
  • Manage and maintain the health and performance of customer networks, including proactive monitoring and performance optimization.
  • Develop and implement network automation processes using tools such as Ansible.
  • Configure and maintain network security devices, ensuring adherence to security best practices.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with network security incidents, investigations, and root-cause analysis.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior network administrators.


Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in enterprise/service provider networking.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Masters of Internetworking, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive experience with PaloAlto firewalls, Cisco routers, Cisco DNA Center, Cisco ISE, Juniper networks, and Meraki.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and security principles.
  • Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Proficiency in a Linux environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE), Palo Alto certifications (PCNSE), or Juniper certifications (JNCIE) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
