The Role

EA’s Tiburon Studio is looking for a Production Director to continue to grow and lead a new team, delivering new play experiences for a wide range of American Football fans across console and PC. This is an opportunity to mold a team from the ground up delivering new live services, design new ways to play, allowing more fans to engage in their football fandom.

As a Production Director on the team, you will partner with team leaders to help plan and guide the delivery of game experiences within this new live service. You will be involved in live services development and partner with operations, technical, art, content, and company partners.

Production Directors are the bridge between the design team and project managers, overseeing what experiences we build, why we build them, who we build them for and managing the delivery of them to our players.

Your Responsibilities

  • Guide vision and execution from ideation to execution. Align your team and stakeholders to the vision, present and sell, interpret player data and more. Be the ambassador for the player.
  • Establish roadmaps for game experiences, aligning with the broader goals of EA SPORTS titles and EA.
  • Use insights to create features that deliver against the motivations of our target players. Lead brainstorming sessions to spur creativity across the team. Make decisions that lead to excite and delight our audience.
  • Carry forward a culture of excellence as part of the senior leadership team to build a highly engaged, efficient, and high performing team.
  • Work with Production, Art, Design, UX, Operations, Engineering, and QA leads to improve quality, communication, and coordination.
  • Partner with Development Directors to manage the project schedule, milestones, and sprint deliverables.
  • Engage with other partner teams, including publishing, marketing, finance, legal, consumer insights, and game analytics.
  • Set and drive the quality bar for your overall experience, features and gameplay.
  • You will report to the Sr. Production Director for this product.

Required Qualifications

  • An experienced Producer or Product Manager with 8+ years of experience in game production, entertainment, or technology-focused roles.
  • A love for working with a diverse group of people to accomplish something great as a team.
  • A passion for videogames.
  • Create, pitch and sell a vision with appropriate production value. Define the long-term path for the experience from MVP to 5+ years.
  • Deep experience prioritizing and managing scope of large game projects.
  • Experience with diverse gaming business models, including mobile and free-to-play.
  • Experience with pioneering and encouraging others to consider different perspectives.
  • A master of influence, helping others understand and become passionate about their work.
  • An accomplished mediator and resolver of conflicts.
  • Familiar with scrum and Agile development concepts.
  • Experienced in using data and insights to inform planning.

Please note: this position is an on-site (hybrid) position based in Victoria, British Columbia only. On-site work is required 3x per week.

Compensation And Benefits

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $151,800 - $208,900 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
